Farmer’s House Azukabo

The restaurant owner makes the most of his personal experience with food allergies.
He believes in preserving the original taste of the ingredients and offers plant-based food and sweets with a gentle flavour. He only uses Pesticide-free rice, organically grown vegetables, natural brewed soy sauce and miso, and additive-free oil.
Occasionally, he serves a menu incorporating home-grown vegetables. This place is within walking distance from Waon.

Regular Holiday: Closed on weekday Monday (except Mondays during public holidays), Tuesday and Wednesday

Fukuneko-ya Organic Café and Workshop

The building is a renovated old Japanese-style house. It is located near the last stop of the bus line, deep in the mountain at 900m above sea level.
We offer rare ingredients, focusing on organic ingredients, home-roasted coffee, vegan baked goods, and meals using spring water from the mountains. You can enjoy your dinner while looking at the starry view through the window and listening to the gentle murmur of the river. It’s a hideaway Café nestled in the middle of nature.

Opening Hours: 11:30 am – 4:00 pm (12:00 in winter) / 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Dinner reservations only)
Regular Holiday: Closed on Monday, Tuesday (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in winter)

Hinatabokko

This restaurant uses pesticide-free vegetables, grown with great care in its own garden. All the ingredients are freshly harvested.
There is a lovely hearth table lined with “Hinatabokko Emperor’s Meal” served in dainty little bowls which is very popular with foreign visitors. The power of local vegetables and the hospitality of the owner will have a soothing effect on you. It is located near Waon. You can also use the public bath house situated next to the restaurant after your meal.

Regular Holiday: Wednesdays

Number of guests: Reservation for 4-5 people is OK
Price: Hinatabokko Gozen “Emperor’s Meal” start from 1,500 yen depending on your budget (Drinks are charged separately)
